About

My career path is rooted in my dedication to education, accessibility, and social well-being. My leadership roles at Northside Charter High School, serving as the Deputy Dean of Special Services and Director of Teacher Mentorship, were centered on advancing anti-oppressive education and nurturing creativity. At the CommonsXR, I facilitated user research with the aim to make the VR classroom environment bias-free. Now, at A2J Tech, I apply my instructional skills to UX and product design, striving to broaden access to justice within the legal sector.

Each stage of my career has been a step towards a larger goal: to build a more inclusive world through technology and education.

UX Design

As the lead designer for A2J Tech's Legal Kiosks, I manage its product, user interface design, and the process from research and testing to deployment and instructional materials. I also led the initiative to integrate free accessibility software into over 300 public legal kiosks, helping individuals connect with legal information and services in their community.

Marketing and Social Strategy

I manage and produce content for A2J Tech's social media channels, blog posts, and instructional guides, enhancing brand visibility and fostering client growth.

Instructional Design

I develop business process improvement training modules for legal services clients. I collaborate on scripts, record audio, and gather media assets, all of which are integrated into the online training system, TalentLMS.

Special Education Leadership

As a dean of special education, I managed the special education team, oversaw classroom instruction, collaborated with teachers on student improvement, and led professional development on compliance, technology, behavioral support, and state reporting.

Mentorship Programming

I developed a support program for new teachers, including curricula and biweekly professional development sessions for mentors and mentees. I also streamlined the onboarding process by creating an internal website portal for essential resources.

Media Arts Curriculum Development

I co-founded Northside Television (NTV), a web-based news network for Northside Charter High School. I crafted year-long curricula and taught video production, equipment operation, and editing. I also guided students in brainstorming, storyboarding, and reporting, fostering a professional collaborative environment.

Partnerships and Outreach

Due to the success of NTV, Northside became an official PBS Student Reporting Lab. Students produced journalistic content for PBS assignments, with features on PBS NewsHour and its social platforms.

Portfolio Development

I developed a Portfolio Development course where students collaborated with local Brooklyn galleries to exhibit and sell their artwork. These young artists were honored by the Brooklyn Borough Hall President for their Excellence in the Arts as well as a write-up in New York State Art Teachers Association (NYSATA) News.
